Join us all weekend for special worship services!
Twenty-five years ago, the Lubbock church ordained Brother Mike Rodgers and Brother Steven Bloyd to the ministry in a joint ordination service. This weekend, 25 years after that joint ordination, the Lubbock church has invited the two ministers to be the guest speakers at the church’s 2016 annual meeting.
The Lubbock annual meeting will begin with a sandwich supper at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, followed by a 7 p.m. worship service. The meeting continues on Saturday, July 16 with a 10 a.m. service followed by lunch and an afternoon service. There will be no Saturday night service, but a time of fellowship is planned. The meeting concludes with a 10 a.m. service Sunday, July 17 followed by lunch.
The meeting is held in conjunction with the opening of Harmony Plains Singing School at Cone, Texas, about 50 miles northeast of Lubbock, which has its opening session on the evening of Sunday, July 17.
Elder Rodgers is the current pastor of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in San Antonio. Elder Bloyd is the current pastor of Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church in Bel Air, Maryland.
